Every night, hundreds of military families find comfort and connection in a Fisher House — a home away from home while their loved ones receive medical care. Behind these havens of support is a decade-long partnership between the Enterprise Mobility Foundation and Fisher House Foundation, one built on shared values and a deep commitment to the military and veterans.
Since 2015, the Enterprise Mobility Foundation has contributed more than $11 million to Fisher House Foundation, helping the organization build 18 Fisher Houses across the United States. These homes provide nearly 300 military families with a free place to stay each night, easing the burden during some of life’s most difficult moments.
Enterprise Mobility’s rich military history is rooted in its founder Jack Taylor’s service during World War II. The Enterprise brand honors the USS Enterprise, the ship Taylor served on as a decorated Navy Hellcat fighter pilot. Today, his legacy lives on through the Foundation’s work and the organization’s broader support of the military community.
“My grandfather built this organization on the values he learned in the Navy: honor, respect and integrity,” said Carolyn Kindle, President of the Enterprise Mobility Foundation. “It’s essential that we continue to give back to those who have given so much to us and to their country.”
This Fisher House Foundation support also extends to education. Through the Heroes’ Legacy Scholarship program, 4,500 college scholarships have been awarded to children of service members who died or were seriously injured in the line of duty since September 11, 2001.
“For more than a decade, the Enterprise Mobility Foundation has stood alongside Fisher House Foundation in our mission to keep military and veteran families together during times of healing,” said Ken Fisher, chairman and CEO of Fisher House Foundation. "Their generosity has helped us build Fisher Houses across the country and provide scholarships that open doors for military children. The Enterprise Mobility Foundation’s unwavering partnership reflects their deep commitment to those who serve and the families who stand beside them.”
In addition to the Enterprise Mobility Foundation’s charitable giving, Enterprise Mobility is also recognized as a top military employer, partnering with national programs to hire transitioning service members, veterans, National Guard and Reserve members and military spouses.
