Fill Your Tank is Driving Efforts to Address Food Insecurity

For nearly a decade, Enterprise Mobility’s Fill Your Tank® program has fueled progress in the fight against food insecurity. To date, more than 800 food banks and food programs – including Fill Your Tank key partners and local community nonprofits – have received over $125 million in grant funding across North America and Europe.

"Everyone deserves access to nutritious food. Hunger can affect anyone, including our friends, loved ones and neighbors,” said Carolyn Kindle, President of the Enterprise Mobility Foundation. “I’m incredibly proud of how this program is helping pave the way toward a future without hunger.”

Since its launch in 2016, Fill Your Tank’s three global key partners, Feeding AmericaFood Banks Canada and The Global FoodBanking Network, have worked to raise awareness of food insecurity across their regions and expand access to reliable, nutritious food. Recently, they reached the following milestones:

  • Feeding America released its latest Map the Meal Gap study showing that 12.6 million seniors in the United States are experiencing food insecurity. With support from Fill Your Tank, Feeding America doubled the number of seniors served annually since 2016, reaching more than 1.2 million and distributing 213 million meals in 2024.
  • Food Banks Canada’s HungerCount 2025 report revealed a record 2.2 million food bank visits nationwide in a single month. In response, Food Banks Canada is urging action to address the root causes of poverty, make life more affordable and tackle food insecurity in northern communities.
  • The Global FoodBanking Network (GFN) provided food and services to 38 million people worldwide in 2024. With Fill Your Tank support, GFN increased food distribution, recovered fresh produce, reduced food waste and strengthened food bank operations across Europe and beyond.

At the local level, grant recipients are selected by Enterprise Mobility’s operating groups, empowering team members to take the lead on identifying organizations best equipped to address food insecurity in their neighborhoods. Examples include:

To build on nearly a decade of success, Enterprise Mobility announced earlier this year that the Fill Your Tank program will be expanded. By 2030, more than $210 million will be granted to local nonprofits and global key partners.
